Simanta was born born was Born to Daya Ram Barman and Arati Barman. in 18 May 1982 At Tihu, Nalbari, Assam
Career
He has featured in the famous track ‘Jhumoor’ in Coke Studio (India) in 2013 Episode 5 along with Papon that has more than 6 lakh views on YouTube. He has contributed in many movies viz. Pokhila etc. and has released many popular songs like Gaanja Liya,Loi Ahisu Camera, Mur Babe, Degar Mari Mori Jam, Beauty Bettera, Jilele Jilele to name a few. Simanta has performed in numerous shows abroad like the Annual two-day event held by the United Assam Association of the United Kingdom (Uaauk), Sahaj Parab- the Bengali root music festival etc. He has also supported causes like First Direct Hair Implantation (DHI) clinic in Guwahati.
Personal life
Simanta lives in Guwahati with his wife Preety Kongana who is an actress and a model and with his two year old son Kaavyik Shekhar.
